103rd National Orange Show Fair
This year opened up new doors for MCDC. I got to be a major part in setting up and running the fair. Thanks to all the help from our MCDC dancers, teachers and parents the fair was a huge success! I couldn't be more proud of my team! My team and I ran the Valleyland Stage which hosted all community based entertainment. It was so important to us to showcase all the local talent in the area. Not only was MCDC performing but we had groups such as; SBVC Voci Soli, SBVC Theater Department, The Rancho D'vines, The Hip Beans, Unsound Sunday, Cajon High School Jazz Band, Carole Lynne Dance Studio, IB Music Music and the winner of Battle of the Bands (both at SBVC and the National Orange Show) Sweet Mischief. None of the stage work could have gone as smooth with out our partner, IB Music Center. Check out their store and what they offer- https://www.ibmusiccenter.com.
Other major sponsors were KVCR, IEA!, Explore IE, San Bernardino Valley College, San Bernardino Teen Music Workshop, R.G.Canning enterprises, Night Owl Bay, Omnitrans, Mattel Toy Store, San Bernadino City Unified School District, Sophia’s Concessions, Butler Amusements, inc.
This year we had over 100 volunteers, military dinner, vendors, a parade, rides, battle of the bands, displays from local groups, food, games, and more! The NOS team and MCDC/SBVC Team worked together in making a successful event, along with many other helpful hands. Driving into the community of San Bernardino and uncovering the many talents that are offered, The National Orange Show Fair is already gearing up for the 104th year!
